Education in Germany

Education in Germany is largely the responsibility of the German states, with the Federal government playing a small role. After compulsory school attendance has been compulsory elementary schooling is offered for all students between one to six years of age, followed by secondary schooling, which is available as a diploma program or part-time course. The school year lasts from September to May. Professional training is conducted by both state and private vocational schools. Private vocational schools are generally smaller, more specialized, and tuition rates tend to be higher.

State-funded schools are characterized by different curricula depending on the region and district. The German school system has a high school division with vocational schools and technical schools. The majority of parents send their children to regular school from early childhood, often choosing a neighborhood school with students they know. For many families, the choice of a school is an important social experience because it is where their children make friends and form long-lasting relationships. In line with this, the school system encourages social interaction among children at different stages of development through clubs and extracurricular activities.

Parents choose the best school for their children according to the quality of education, student discipline, socialization, and family environment. The school system provides personalized services based on the location of the child. Families that live in bigger cities have access to private schools and some of these are co-ed, while rural families may prefer to send their children to a co-ed school. Some of the top private schools in Germany are listed below.

Technical college Zentrum im Schlossen is one of the most prestigious technical schools in Germany and is also one of the most popular destinations for European students who are looking to study in Germany. With the excellent curriculum and well-rounded services, the school has earned a good reputation in Germany for providing excellent educations to students from different backgrounds. The school offers both part-time and full-time academic programs and allows students to complete their certificates after only three years.

Technical college Wachau im Fabrica is the oldest technical school in Germany and is located in Deutschland. The school offers a strong academic program and many students graduate with their diplomas. The school offers many specialized programs, including the Certificate in Applied Knowledge Transfer (CAK), which is designed to help transfer students in various industries. The school offers two main branches – the School of Engineering and the School of Business. Both branches offer special programs for children, such as the Leveraging Technologies program for high school students or the European Business Competition for college students who want to enter the business.

For families that are interested in sending their children to a good German school, consider sending your child to the International Academy of Dermatology (IAFD). The IADF conducts world-class training in diagnosis and prevention of skin diseases. You can send your child to this academy for free, but you have to arrange other aspects of the education, such as lodging and payment, according to the terms and conditions set by the institution. In addition to having a doctor on staff, the school also offers a pediatrics department and a nursing department, and these departments offer additional training for doctors who wish to add these specialties to their resumes. It’s an excellent option if your child needs additional training before he/she pursues his/her dream career as a dermatologist.
